Free Community Sessions

Hands-on map workshops across Georgia

We bring printed county boundary maps, census tract overlays, and plain-language guides to public libraries and community rooms statewide. Learn how lines are drawn without partisan spin.

Workshop Structure

The workshop curriculum

Every session begins with printed paper maps of your own county and voting districts. We walk through how decennial census data dictates population thresholds, how district perimeters get set, and what criteria state legislators use during redistricting cycles.

In the second half, participants examine how public legislative hearings work and how to submit written or oral testimony about their neighborhoods. You leave with reference sheets, regional contact schedules, and clear notes on where your community stands.
